Local Entrepreneur Teaches "Art of Business" Workshop
at The Art Center of Highland Park |

Highland Park, IL, March 7, 2011 - Larry Bloom, President of ATI Graphics, Inc., has been invited by The Art Center of Highland Park (TAC) to teach a 4-week workshop entitled, "The Art of Marketing and Branding Your Business."
The workshop, which begins Thursday, April 14, is geared towards business owners and entrepreneurs. It will cover best practices in branding, including effective logos and taglines, crafting the content of print and online marketing materials and designing and developing a website. The workshop will provide knowledge and practical experience for those interested in DIY projects. It will also offer insights to aid communication with marketing and design professionals. The month-long workshop is open to TAC members and non-members alike and the fee is $130 for TAC members and $150 for non-members.
"I had this idea for a workshop, though hadn't really shopped it around," says Bloom. "When I suggested the idea to The Art Center, it was met with a lot of enthusiasm. They had been looking for new types of art programs to offer."
"The subjects to be covered in this workshop are those that I speak about all of the time with people," says Bloom. "When it comes to branding, marketing and the web, business owners tend to make the same mistakes over and over again. A little education will go a long way to help those interested in do-it-yourself projects make better decisions. My hope is that it will also help entrepreneurs know when to bring in outside help.”
Since 1997, Bloom has been president of ATI Graphics, Inc. (www.atigraphics.com), a graphic design, branding and web strategy and development firm based in Highland Park. Prior to starting his own business, Bloom held a management position with Kodak Processing Labs, a subsidiary of Eastman Kodak. He earned a degree in art and sociology from Illinois State University. A leader in the north suburban networking community, Bloom was a co-founder of the BizNetExpo series of networking events held in 2009 and 2010. He is a member of the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and currently runs the well-established Breakfast of Champions networking group, which meets the 4th Friday of each month at Max & Benny's Restaurant in Northbrook (www.atigraphics.com/boc).
